mushrooms detaching

Ok, so let's just say I have a bit of reef experience. Im no noob.
I've Had these shrooms for quite a while, over year including a tank move.
Anyway a few weeks ago, one of them detached and was floating around the tank. The other day I noticed another barely attached by a thin piece of flesh. I pulled it off. Today I noticed my "mother" shroom is also barely attached. I can look under it and see the "foot" is clearly detached.. there is a thin, pencil lead sized strand holding it on.
Normally I wouldn't care, but this shroom is the original one I bought, it is bigger than a silver dollar and it is a jawbreaker! Really want to stop it from drifting behind my rocks!
No changes have been made and all other lps and sps normal.the other 20 or so babies are all normal. The ones that have been detaching are now my 3 biggest
Why? Anyone else ever seen this?

When yet start getting crowded or conditions are bad for them they'll start detaching like that. More often it's just crowdedness. I just had one of my jawbreakers detach like yours. It had a really skinny hair like stalk, which I just pulled and put the shroom in a container with rubble. The foot will probably grow into another. Happens a lot with discosama type mushrooms.

update-

the big one never did detach and is now firmly attached. wondering if the one i pulled off would have been fine, too. i'll never know now.
highly doubt ammonia, as this is a well established , 2 year old tank with no recent deaths/changes and all other sps/lps/gorgs/zoas are fine, but thanks
