Mushrooms Taking over Zoas

I have some striped Mushroom encroaching on my zoas. Any ideas on how to stop this? Or is it as simple as just plucking them off??

I would just get some sharp scissors and cut the mushrooms as close to the base as you can. Smother any remaining tissue with some epoxy. The zoanthids should fill in the gaps so to say in time. The mushrooms can either be given away, traded in at the LFS or just placed somewhere else in the tank. You'll probably want to give them some time to attach to a small piece of rubble first though.

Mushrooms can take over a tank from what I've seen...make sure you love the mushrooms your keeping in case they multiply profusely

If you cut it off and don't get all of it, it will just come back. I've used bone cutters to remove shrooms from zoa colonies before. That's what I'd do if you can get a large enough chunk of the rock to not leave any stem behind. Otherwise, like above, epoxy might keep it from coming back.
