You can, but people avoid adding mushrooms to sps tanks because they spread and will take over sps real estate. Most mixed reefers out there with established tanks with mushrooms and sps regret putting the mushrooms in. Some soft corals can also give off chemical warfare, if you run carbon you should be fine.
