Mushrooom EFW?

Fraggle Rock2

I was at a LFS last weekend and was checking out their display tank and noticed that all of their ricordias had flat worms attached to them. It was infested.

The flatworms were not on the rocks or on the sand or on any other coral that I could see. Only on the ricordia.

I have never seen this or read of this anywhere.

Anyone ever experience this?

I wish I had a photo, but I don't normally carry a camera around with me.

They were whitish/clear and definitely flatworms. Not the typical red ones I see quite often but about the same size.

Yes I have seen that - a friend of mine had an infestation in his tank and the rics were the first to go, followed next by the palys.

I saw a few flat worms on our rics one night, and got worried, then I saw the rics curling up into cup shapes, and a half hour later, when I looked again, the flat worms were gone, so I think our rics actually ate the flat worms!

A place I used to go to when I lived in LA was an importer and they'd frequently get shrooms with flatworms on them. I bought them quite a few times and they went away within a couple days. I guess the shrimp and fish cleaned them off.
