mussel hitchiker

i recently bought these zoas and there is a mussel under them its alive because it opens and closes . should i remove it or keep it there? i dose my tank with phyto every day will it stay alive?you can see it in this pic its the slit close to the top of the zoas.


 
No need to remove it, the zoos will just grow around it. I have one growing on my goniopora and it does nothing to harm the goni.
 
Tennyson, I think twelve is worried about an ammonia spike if the mussel dies... and whether or not the mussel is doomed because they can't be fed appropriately in a tank.
 
I had a mussel in my 2.5 for a long time. It did fine with just whatever I threw in there (DIY frozen food and some phyto) for a little under 4 months before I moved it into the new tank. I wouldn't worry about him, if he dies your CuC will get him.
