my 12 gallon eclipse has been nothing but problems 1 month after purchase the built in filter died then the next day my Fission Nano Skimmer died so i went out and got a Prizm Pro Deluxe Skimmer and a fluval 105 (major overkill i know but didnt wana chance anything) so then like a week ago my royal gamma jumped into my surface skimmer cup that came with the protien skimmer he was okay just went to his happy place for a few hours :eek2: so then 2 days later my blue green chromis desides HEY thats not fair i want to jump in thre too :eek2: okay so all my fish are okay but no more surface skimmer

anyways i want to dump out my current stock PC lighting because i love the look of Actinic lighted tanks if anyone has any ideas for upgrading my stock eclipse 12 lighting please let me know im very interested in getting some zoa as well so i will need some adequite lighting for that

btw money realy isnt a problem but i dont wana spend over like 300 on a lighting system for a 12 gallon tank >.< also since my gamma and chromis are obvious jumpers for a MH lighting i would need a glass/acrylic lid if you know of any that would fit or are modafiable for an E12 tank i would apreciate it or i guess im just gona have to buy a sheet of acrlic and bust out the dremil

okay i did some looking around looks like im going to make my own acrylic flat top but im gona hit it up with the drill press so i get air exchange and dont have to worry about my jumpers and was thinking about the jbj viper Mh clamp on but will the acrylic top diffuse too much of the light or will it be more of a green house thing and i wind up making saltwater stew

u can do an acrylic top or my buddy put a screen top over his 24g pod so his fish wouldnt jump out. kinda like a reptile top....I have also seen eggcrate cut to fit top....
