My 125 Reef

It was brought to my attention that I never updated my current tank in my profile, so I did that and figured I would follow up with some long overdue pics. Our camera is on the fritz so I snapped some shots with my phone. They arent the greatest of quality, but they'll have to do. So here goes nothing:

This is the far right end of the tank. The clown out front is the female out of my pair. She has a nice patch of eggs just behind that pinkish sinularia that the male so carefully guards. I never thought a clown could draw blood but the little bugger took a chunk out of my pinky when I tried to pick up a frag that fell over.

This shot is a little farther left. The little blue streaks are the small school of chromis I have buzzing about.

This shot is still farther to the left. This pair of bluethroats are my newest aquisition. My wife and I have always had an infatuation with triggers. It was a big roll of the dice, but hopefully they dont bother anything. I was looking for a small male for a while and couldn't find one. Then I stumbled upon this pair and figured I couldn't be the one to break them up.

This little bugger is also a new arrival. American Aquarium in Orefield has this awesome deal that if you buy any two fish or corals at regular price, you get one free. I bought the two triggers and walked out the door with a free $50 radiant wrasse. I hope he doesnt turn into a bully either.

And this is the far left. The little striped cardinal down front is also the female out of a pair. If you look real close and squint you can almost make out the male under the rock that the hammer frag is on. He is being really bashful because he has a mouthfull of babies. I wish I had some way to catch them to try and raise them. I had success raising bangai babies in my refugium on my old tank, but only because I was able to scoop them out of my overflow boxes. With the tank drilled I havent been able to find any stuck anywhere to put them in the fuge.

Can anyone identify this little anemone? It is nowhere near as prolific as aiptasia, so I am not concerned about it becoming a huge nuisance. Im just curious as to what it may be. It split once when I first got it but neither of the new nems have split again. It is only about the size of a nickel

The tank looks kinda crumby right now with the cyano and red slime and all the little bubbles on the back glass and overflows. I have a tendency of overfeeding my tank, hence the colors of my sps. To make things worse, I have REALLY been overfeeding to make sure that the triggers were eating. They were afraid of the food at first. They have only been in the tank since the 3rd and are still very skittish. They are still a little afraid of me but are eating very well now, so I can stop polluting my tank so much.

Fish that didn't make it into the pictures include, a female psychedelic mandarin, four engineer gobies, a yellow tail damsel, and a black molly.

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to look at my tank. Im sure I have just set myself up to be scolded for my fish selection with two triggers, seven damsels, and a wrasse in my tank.

Feel free to leave some feedback.

Thank you for your compliment. I run an etss 500. It does a pretty good job for me. I have to empty a full cup of wet skimmate every second to third day.

Looking good..Here is a pick of the Hippo that will be comming home to you soon. She will love all the room you have.

Dont mind the bare tank. Just recouping from the crash.

Great tank Joe, and thanks again for the frags to put in my little 20 :)

Here's a link to some of the pics I got to take while visiting. Hopefully you don't mind me posting this up for everyone to see.
