Your stand looks nice, however it is making me nervous. Right now, ALL the weight from your tank is resting on the support from only the screws. You need to cut at least four (eight would be better) more 2x4's to fit between the top and bottom frame in the corners. One on each side of the middle support would be a good idea too. You have roughly 1500 lbs sitting on screws. Please get this done ASAP.

Right, but there isn't anything supporting the frame. You have the "green" in an L but you are lacking the support from the "purple". Check out this diagram.

I took that into consideration. I just went by all the other stands in the house that were store bought. My 90 stand is built way weaker than the one I built for my 125. I am adding them 2x4 just for peace of mind. I want to thank you for informing me. Its always good to get advice from fellow reefers :)

+1000 on the purple supports. The idea is to have all of the weight pressing downwards and distributed to the frame on the bottom. The inside "L" (green) should not be holding any of the weight, which is why they are shorter than the stand height.

Exactly, you have to think of it as the sheering weight on the screws holding the legs to the top supports. It's incredible how little force is required to sheer a screw.

I built mine without the inner green parts and just the outer purple because the inner ones are only for making sure it stays square while building it.
