I have been in the hobby for roughly 10 years and it all started with a free 20 gallon hamster tank. I am a frequent on Canreef which is the largest Canadian reefing forum but I figured it's time to post some pics here.

Tank
-140 gallon 48x24hx28d, three sides starphire with one piece eurobrace and -polished edge.
-40 gallon breeder that I made into a sump.
-bbk 250 skimmer.
-reef dynamic reactor for all in one bio-pellets.
-two little fishes reactor for hc gfo.
-brs doser for cal, alk, mag controlled by profilux.
-ati t5 x 8 with 2 48" tru lumen blue led strips for night time viewing pleasure.

This thread is going to be picture heavy so here we go.

BTW Here is a picture of my previous 300 DD before I shut it down due to my work schedule and my toddlers growing up. I loved that tank but unfortunately time was not on my side.

After I sold the coral, fish and the tank I had the living room sitting empty for some time but you know once a reefer always a reefer, all of sudden I got this itch again. Some times I think we are just gelatin for punishment. So it begins again...

My sump creation.

My good friend helping me plumb....thank goodness we can count on them.

Testing with fresh water.

More to come.

Rock work, kept it low for growth.

Don't mind the messy room.

Basic sump design, using one of my friend's alpha cone 170 just for trying sake but I hate that skimmer, hard to adjust and very finicky.

Also lay down a water proof membrane inside the sump to make it leak proof and let me tell you how handy that came in, saved my butt a few times already.

One of my favorite fish in the tank but later it started to nip at my sps and the straw that broke the camel's back was when he started to nip at my Oregon tort that's when I fished him out and sold him. It was a sad day.

My little guy looking at the tank

Borb x 2, now I only got one left and it's got pop eye. sigh...

More frags......All the sps in the tank was grown from small frags.

My over kill 300 gph ro unit...lol

Bryopsis battle starts.....I had bryopsis take over my whole tank and it was bad...I mean really really bad but with a little bit of perseverance and lot of peroxide I managed to come out on top.

Frags growing.

I rolled in some biological control too but it didn't really help.

At this point I think it was the lowest I got with my tank, algae was everywhere and the tank looked like ****, although the corals were growing but still it was unsightly, I have added 100 blue legged hermits 20 ring cowries and trochus snails. The combo really worked well and you will see in the later pictures.

Well, that is the orange passion but the damn polyps are NOT orange ***

Godzilla

I think it's shades of fall nasuta or ssc, can't remember...too many :spin2:

Running out of room so I had to start mounting on the back wall.

The beginning and the end of the moorish idol...oregon tort got molested...

Copper band was chopping at all the snails and abalone....so it had to go too.

It was a sad sad day for me.

I hope they are doing well...not the easiest fishes to keep both the moorish idol and the copperband.
