Do you think this 26watt 6500k Is ideal for zoas?
Or do I need to add some attinic as well!

very nice set up. Probably would be good to get a 50/50. Is the light an 18wt? I believe I was considering the same thing at our Big Lots one day.
Is the overflow a PVC pipe? Good idea. Hope you keep update on progress. I am starting a 3gl Deco Art after Christmas myself.
What tank is that?

Flricordia. I ve had two deco art tanks and i really advised against it, if its the acrylic ones im thinking about. I had tons of coraline growth on them and it was impossible to clean with out scratching it even using a tooth brush. You can pick up a nice 2.5 gallon at like petco or petsmart.

As far as the light goes. I have like 12 zoo morphs in my tank, ive seen much better growth and coloring up when I run my actinics most of the time instead of just the white light. So id defnitely get a 50/50 bulb atleast.

The only non acrylic pico at the local petsmart is a 2.5gl glass. I wouldn't mind it but I was thinking the glass might be too thin to drill for bulkhead. What ever pico I get I want to incorperate it into my 20cube and sump so temp and cycle/evaporation is constant. I have plenty of spare DIY PC lighitng around.
What about the picotype? The wattage is only 9wt 50/50 and if I got that I would hat to spend the price and toss the light-not much wattage.

look up 2 gallon pico tanks on ebay thats where I got this tank from! also I built the overflow out of pvc pipe and glued to the bottom of the tank. Do zoas like more attinic than daylight?
I wounder if they sell a 50/50 bulb that would fit in this fixture?
