so here it is. my tank started out as a 100 gallon reef tank by itself. then i wanted more water volume and different creatures without setting up new systems. so i decided to set up a 60 gallon which was fed by a mag pump in my sump which then gravity fed the first 20 gallon then gravity fed into the next 20 gallon then back to the sump to a filter sock. wish I had pics. was pretty cool looking. I had too many problems with my external overflow box so I decided to go bigger. thats how the 240 came into play. I first ordered the tank from truvu and had them custom build my 125 gallon sump which starts out with 4 filter socks then overflows into a refugium area then overflows into another section where I have a euro reef
RS 250 then overflows into a bubble trap and then the return pumps. I recently purchased 2 36" ATI Powermodules from Derek at Ocean Treasures. They are 8 x 39 watt T5 fixtures. I used to have 2 x 250 watt MH with 4 x 39 watt T5 lamps for actinics. I had too many heat problems and uneven light output. the pics are with the lights installed. waiting to see what happens. My roses just split off today again. now I have 12.

The fowlers tang came from Ocean Treasures. if you have been there u know which one it is. so beautiful. very passive fish towards my chevron and every other fish except towards both marine bettas and dwarf golden moray eel.

So here is my list of fish; 1 - Fowlers tang 1 - chevron tang 1 - mystery wrasse 1 - dwarf golden moray eel 1- flame hawkfish 1 - cherub angel 1 - randalls goby 1 - carribean sailfin blenny 1 - watchmen goby 3 - engineer gobies 2 - purple tile gobies 3 - orange firefish 2 - lyretail anthias 2 - marine bettas 5 - green chromis 2 - gold band maroon clowns 1 - phsycodelic manderin goby 2 - orange diamond gobies 5 - cleaner shrimp 2 - fire shrimp 1 - harliquin shrimp

Very nice. How many rose anenome splits? My LTA split many times but I have them in the sump or the tank would have been a huge anenome tank. :)

Mine was splitting regularly too and then it just stopped and hasn't split for 18 months. Weird.

nice tank !

nice tank !

That Fowlers Tang is incredible. I looked it up... they get a foot and a half long~! Wow... shame they get so big, but most wild tangs are much larger than the stunted ones in the hobby.

Thanks for the pics bud

its made by TruVu in california. and the tang that is next to the chevron is a Fowlers tang. After having all types of tangs in my tank(sohal, powder blue, yellow, chocolate mimic, nasos, etc) I pretty much had them all. I've decided that my tank breeds violence among my tangs and other fish. So far the Fowlers and chevron get along very well but the Fowlers which is a very passive tang has attacked both my marine bettas pretty badly. I have given tangs back to fish stores because they tend to realize that they can run the tank and start to attack other fish. My sohal by far would have been the worse. they are one of my favorite fish but are extremely aggressive.
My favorite hawkfish was a giant hawkfish I used to have. big and beautiful. I have yet to see it in the trades ever again. the fishs real name or scientific name I guess is a Cirrhitus rivulatus

if you like hawkfish or aggressive fish you should try to get one of these. they are awesome fish. so much personality. I miss him so much.

Wow, Beautiful tank!

Curious how you like the TruVu tank. Are you happy with the quality and service from the company? I'm thinking of ordering one from them soon.
Thanks!

the tank is pretty nice. regretting not paying for the thicker acrylic though. I had a heavy canopy on it for 3 years and it has some stress cracks from it I believe. As for the caulerpas and other algae is concerned I have gracileria, chaeto, grape caulerpa, caulerpa prolifera, some type of fern caulerpa , and some lily pad looking algae. thanks for the compliment but the tank recently crashed due to some mistakes made. tank looks completely different. will post some in a few days.
