my 27 gallons nano reef

hello i'm justin i have 13 years .
i have a nano reef of 27 gallons.
80x36x40( cm)
tanks systems:
prizm skimmer 400
4x 39watts T5
1x marea 2400(liters)
1xmarea3200(liters)
18(kg) live rocks.
fishes:
-paranchantus hepatus
-zebrasoma flavescens
-2 amphiprion occelaris
-synchiropus picturatus
-cryptocentrus cinctus
-gobiodon okinawae
coral :
lot of SPS ,soft coral and LPS

nice lookin tank, but unfortunately like ionredline said, the tangs have GOT to go. Neither one is good in a 27g tank, much less 2 of them. If you want both together, i would say no less than 125g for the pair....definitely not 27 though.
 
What is the generally accepted (tang police evasive) minimum for most tangs?


A Petsmart equivalent near me keeps them in 10's!:(

The smallest tangs (yellows basically) i would not recommend putting in anything less than 75. Most get bigger.

As for the petsmart keeping them in tens....realize that they are selling them...they are gone in a very short time. Its not like they keep them there forever. As soon as someone buys them, they hopefully go to a much larger tank.
 
I kept a small (2") yellow tang in a 29 gal. for over a year before going to a 75 gal. He was very healthy and presumably happy in the 29. He did not have to compete in the 29 with too many other fish though. Just my 2 cents...

Nice picture Justin. I'd like to see more pictures as well. If yo uhad any. I'd also have to agree with the tang police. :D
