My 29g reef tank

Hi there

Hi there

Man, you have the most beatiful 29 gallon tank I have ever seen.
Everything looks amazing....but it also made me consider to change the aquascape of my tank. I have a 29 gallon that I set up 2 weeks ago and I wish/hope that someday mine looks as nice as yours.

You already stated that your tank is a 29 gallon but I would like to know the measurements. (Lenght/Height/Width)

Take a look at my tank and please let me know what you think....What would you change?

Thanks a lot in advance.
cheers
Daniel

Thanks for the kind words. Your tank looks great. When I started mine, I must have changed the aquascape 10 times during the first 3 months. Yours looks like its going to be perfect for fish/corals.

Keep us updated

Just another update. I wanted to get my fingers wet with SPS so I updated my lighting to 250W DE MH, 14K Phoenix and an icecap ballast. I installed it last month and thus far the tank is still going strong

Here are some recent pics.

Oh, and BTW, I am about to get rid of my sump because I already have the skimmer on the display so that is going to free up some wall space on the back.

Thanks everyone for taking time to comment. Travis, your tank looks like it going to be great ! This is such a fun but expensive hobby :)

Very nice pics! It's amazing what a difference the lighting changes makes to the appearence...

I know i've seen it before.... but what is the part on the outflow port of your maxijet?

I have 2 400's and they didn't come with that

Hey RFC, good to see you back. Nice upgrade on the lights. You'll notice your clam grows a LOT faster with the MH. Hope to see you back in the clam forum.

The rotating deflector is made by hydor and they cost around 15 dollars. Works great and adds flow pattern to my tank

Beautiful and amazing tank. Your corals love you. Your water is so crystal clear, that third from the last pic looks like the fish and the shrimp are just floating in air. WOW.

Great Pictures!

what kind of lense are you using on your D200 for these pictures?

If you don't mind me asking - what settings are you using for these shots? especially the FTS w/ the cleaner shrimp floating.

How did you get your rockwork to stay put? I assume you drilled your rocks and used acrylic rods or something? Nice tank though, I have a 24 that I would love to look like that. If you have any advice on how to drill or anything that would be awesome!
