Nice progress. How's the Seaclone working? Plenty of free Monti Digitata at the May31 Reef Meet.
It worked pretty good. I had both skimmers on my tank starting out and removed the seaclone after the first month. I could never get it going good, I must not had it set up right.

There are several posters who can tell how to mod the SeaClone to get it working well. I never tried the mod but it's apparently not too hard to do.

Damsel

Damsel

What kind of Damselfish is that?
It is a pomacentrus vaiuli also known as a ocellate damsel. I am giving it away to anyone that will take it. It is too aggressive for my small tank. Any takers?

That a great looking fish when it get to be an adult, but with all that beauty comes a dark side. I guess all the damselfish out of fiji are devils.

True Ade. I didn't realize he was so mean until I added a Royal Gramma to the tank. They fought for the first 2 days now they leave each other alone. I will hold my breath that he doesn't kill my Gramma before I get rid of him. He has already ate my cleaner shrimp.

The past few days I have seen a claw coming out of my rock during feeding. It isn't my emerald crab but looks more whitish than anything. Anyone have a guess for me?

Hitchhikers coming in on LR are common. IMO, any crab built like an emerald that isn't an emerald is gonna be trouble. It seems that most of these are carnivores or ominvores. Neither has a place in my reef tank. I had to go spearfishing several years ago but finally got the guy.

Sound like a shame face crab. These guy's are can get big and eat at night. If you know or have a fair idea were it lives then you can do the hot water trick. Get some bioling RO water and with a turkey baster squrt it into his cave.
Then get some drawn butter and snack away. LOL
