My 300g tank - Almost ready for Fish

Finally I have my 300g Tenecor tank up and running :bounce1: No fish or corals yet. Just water, LiveRock, and LiveSand:D . But it is up and running:dance:

Here is the picture of it. It looks kinda small in the picture, but it is quite big in person. 6ft tall from bottom of stand to canopy. 8ft long from left to right. This will be a Fish Only With LR. Well may be a little bit of soft corals in the middle to make the fish feel more at home.

Inside the stand, I have a Tenecor sump on the left and 40g breeder refugium on the right.

I put the skimmer in the sump. I bought the Euro-Reef skimmer from RickyB. It is the best skimmer I ever had. Look at the skunk it pulled out, and there is not even a fish in it yet. When I put the LS in, the tank was completely cloudy. But this skimmer clear it up in just a few hours.

On the 40g refugium, I put some LR, LS, Chaeto, and a Mangroove tree in it. The refugium light came from RickyB (FREE). The Chaeto came from ppurcell today (FREE), and the mangroove tree came from Whiirly (FREE).

Thank you very much to Rickyb, ppurcell, and whiirly for your contribution

My next step is to add fish, easy to maintain soft corals, and some more Chaeto and plants in the refugium.

If you have fish and soft corals for sale pm me. If they are pretty with the right price, I am definitely interested :D

Eversince the invention of "Python" hose, water changes have been a breeze for me. No more lifting 5 gallon buckets:D . I do water changes once every 2 weeks. drain all the water from the sumps out using Python hose. Pump saltwater back into them using a mag24 pump from a 125g tank premixed saltwater. The only problem is the $$$ on the salt - $80/month.

Nice job! Looks like quite a project. What fish are you gonna put in there?

Thanks Jeni. I want to have lots of fish in this tank so mostly small fishes and only few big ones. What I have in mind right now are butterfly fishes, clown fishes, and a few tangs for small ones. For big ones, my favorites are Imperator and Majestic angel fishes.

 All that hard work paid up! Nice looking tank, I would love to stop by one of this days on my way home from work.
