INTRODUCTION

Hello, and welcome to my mostly FOWLR Build thread, there will be some corals in the tank, but not a ton. I was able to procure my tank from a phenomenal deal on Craigslist, and it just happened my wife and I were in the process of renovating the dining room. Originally I had planned to put my existing 90 gallon into the wall, and frame in a 300 gallon tank, but when this deal came up, I couldn't pass it up!!
So here is an abbreviated list of equipment:
TANK/STAND:
335G Acrylic Tank (67"L x 35"W x 33"T)
Wood Stand, which recessed panel look to them built into the wall.
LIGHTING:
LED lighting, with an aluminum frame.
CIRCULATION:
Reeflo Dart Pump
FILTRATION:
Super Reef Octopus Skimmer XP 5000 Ext.
70 gallon refugium
100 gallon Sump
Shallow sand bed
HEATING:
2 x 300 Watt Heaters
MONITORING:
Apex Controller with ORP, PH and Temp Probes, also running the LED lights simulating sunrise/sunset
Over the next few days I will post pictures of the my original tank, and the original dining room. I will than fast forward with a few pictures of the dining room/fish room build. I want to thank many of the people here on Reef Central for putting up with all my questions and for all the help they have been. Thanks.
HISTORY:
I have been in the Saltwater hobby since I was 10 years old, I started with a small 45 gallon tank with a 10 gallon sump. As time progressed the tank has changed, and I have learned so much. Well let's start with some pictures, and I'll explain as I go.
PICTURE TIME:
Here is my old 90 gallon that I have had since 2002. This is the tank that replaced my 45 gallon that I had for 12 years.
Here are the before pictures of the dining room, which would later become the dining room/fish viewing room.
The entrance from the living room:
Farther in looking North East:
Looking North-West:
Looking South-West (back towards the entrance to the living room)
And last but not least, the closet that was to become a fish room:
Now let's fast forward through Destruction/Construction:
More tonight, including the bringing the tank home and fish room construction"¦ stay tuned.
