Hi! My 36 bow front is sort of the "upper end" of the nano spectrum, but since I'm not using a sump I'm using a lot of info from the nano community so I thought I'd share it here. I'm still waiting for the initial cycle to complete. I've nicknamed it "Disaster Reef" both because I put it together during a natural disaster and because I've had an inordinate amount of hardware failures already.
Pertinents are 40lbs live rock, 40lbs live sand (CarribSea Reef sand), CPR AquaFuge Medium (currently empty), AquaC Remora, Hydor ATO with an AquaLifter, Aqueon heater (meh), a Koralia 600gph, and a Current USA Orbit Marine that's currently not working properly
I'm in the process of looking for new light(s) and I have an Apex on the way (newb overkill for sure, but I occasionally have to "bug out" due to my job and it will make me feel better to be able to check on it). The only livestock decisions I've made are that I know I want a pair of clowns once it's cycled and 6-12 months down the road an RBTA. For corals I was thinking colorful Zoas, Button polyps, and maybe a brain coral? I've kind of held off on deciding much about that until the tank is ready for fish. My wife would really like a starfish of some sort but I hear only a few are "reef safe".
Still to work out are if I need more flow, what CUC and when to add them, what to do with my sump (Chaeto I expect), if I'm going to fix or replace my light(s), if I need a phosphate or carbon reactor, and what else to stock and in what order.
