My 380

Here is my 380. Been up for about 2 months and most of the livestock was transfered from a 120 I had running for around 2 years.

It is 10 feet long 30 inches high and 24 inches wide. I plan on making a mixed reef concentrating on LPS and SPS.

I have learned alot by reading all the posts here on RC and hope to continue. I think that is one of the things I like about this hobby. You never have to stop learning if you just keep asking questions and looking for new information.

Anyway, please take a look at my tank and let me know what you think. I will post more detail about the set-up later.

Here are some pics of the equipment room. Keep in mind this is just the initial phase. I have some big plans for this space. Circumstances just made it necessary for me to get it done ASAP.

I had a 300 gallon originally but it leaked. Therefore, I had to put all my livestock into my 100 gallon sump until I could get a replacement tank. I was finally able to get this 375 gallon. I lost a couple of corals and fish during the transfer but, all in all, it could have been worse.

The equipment room is 15 feet away from the tank. I use a Sequence Manta Ray as a return.

Next post I will put up some close up pics of some of my livestock and layout some more info about my equipment.

Thanks,

Very nice tank! Who built it? How thick is it? You said your equipment room is 15 feet away from the tank..is it in a basement or same level room? The reason I ask is because Im planning about a 300g tank however my "equipment space" space would be about 15 feet away and there is a doorway in the path...so Im trying to figure out how to make it work..

Thanks for the interest and questions.

How thick is it? It is 3/4" acrylic

You said your equipment room is 15 feet away from the tank..is it in a basement or same level room?

It is on the same level. The tank has two end overflows so onehas to travel 15ft while the other has to go 25ft. It is kind of strange because my sump temp is around 71 degrees while my display is at 79.

wow, awsome is it a room divider ?

Yes, it is a room divider in the basement we just finished. On one side is the study and the other is the theater room and bar. If there is any interest I will post some pics of the study, bar and theater room.

Later,
