Hello,
Wow! How did you dig up this old thread?
Happy holidays to you too.
Well I finally got a replacement tank and moved the tank inhabitants and equipment (6/15/08). It took me 4 months and 220 hours to complete the woodwork, plumbing, electrical, and move the livestock. The new tank dimensions are 96"x48"x30". I cut the larger colonies back about 50% but they have grown even larger than they originally were after 18 months. I also got rid of 350 lbs of liverock they had created. It is a peninsula style now with the overflow at one end and viewable from 3 sides. The system volume is 775 gallons and deposits about 8-10lbs of new coral per month. I have about 25,000 gal/hr flowing through it. 4 Tunze, 2,000gph return, and a 4,500 gal/hr closed loop.
It is located at my store now so I don't want to post any pictures or video as it may be deemed commercial.
