wow 48 views and not even a typical "you need 800g minimum for a clown fish, reported for animal cruelty!" comment lol If the tank looks lame plz tell me! I was already thinking of getting some new rock and replacing some of that fiji boat rock.

I like the look of the mountain of rocks. I would suggest pulling it off the back off the glass though as flow cant really get back there and it could cause a detrius build up possibly. Obviously I can see its a home for your 7.5" mantis shrimp. Cool as well.

The coral Id's I think the one on the top would be a scroll coral. Not sure of exact type. The second more stick looking one looks like to me, a branching monti. they look like healthy frags from the pics.

Hey thanks for the reply man :D

Yea I was thinking about plumbing my return down that back corner (with a siphon break) and putting a spray bar in the rocks to blast them from the inside out b/c I could do it without getting into her royal badness's agro area.

how do the mantis and clowns get along? that would be cool if there will be no fighting/meal grabbin! would love to see more mantis shots when you get em. :)

Dont be silly, a 600g tank would be fine for the clown. :D Your tank looks good.

Well, I just keep a well stocked CUC roaming the tank for her to eat at her leisure, on top of a pellet stuffed shrimp/squid chunk every couple nights. Between working on her cave and being well fed she never bothers with the clowns. I'm going to try getting some better pic's of her because she is really pretty. But she is quick so getting a good pic, at the right time is proving difficult.

Thanks!:D

love your scape. sloping to an anemone on a sandbed! want to see how this tank developes, as mine is similar.

I have the same tank....aquascaping sucks!!!! not yours, i mean its a tough task in this tank...plus the footprint in the base doesnt allow for a great sump. this tank is a challenge in itself! here is mine:

How about a picture of your light set up?

I just switched to LEDs this weekend. I retro-fitted both of my T-5 NOVA Extremes to fit two TrueLumin Pro LEDs each. I love it.

I'd like to see how you did yours.

I just came into possession of the same exact tank. I will be making it a SPS and chalice tank. I toyed with the idea of plumbing it into my main tank but nixed that idea. This one will be SPS only.

Thanks, I will post updates as it develops as well as any changes/additions.

I know what you mean. I am contemplating doing a 2x 56g on a custom stand with a 75g sump/fuge running both. On dark tank one bright/sps tank.

Well I have just had the LED modules sitting on the lid for a few months. I have been toying around with the lighting set up and decided the TMC 7600k were just too much light for the corals/nem. The LTA seems to fold up in a saddle pattern and the corals all retract if I leave the 7600k strips on for more than an hr. or so. I am building a hood/lighting fixture in order to clean up the look as well as be functional in my lighting experimentation. If all works out I will have everything put together this weekend and post an update.

Nice I would love to see what you do with it!

I've found, as I'm sure others have, that the Lighting choices for a 30" long tank are somewhat limited.

36" or 48" seem much more common.
