My 6 Year Old Magnifica

I have had this mag for a little over 6 years and just moved it into a custom 36"x36"x22" custom acrylic cube tank. It started in a 120 and then moved to a 180 and now it is the center piece of this new tank. It hosts a trio of ocellaris clowns that consist of a large female orange, black and white male and an orange juvenile clown. The mated pair have been laying a clutch of eggs about every 2 to 3 weeks prior to the move.

A few older pictures of the fish. I'm not sure why the tentacles are so short on this day. They are usually much longer as in the previous set of pictures.

Magnificent! Good job keeping a tricky species of anemone alive and thriving for more than half a decade.

Thanks. It looks like I jumped the gun on its' 6 year anniversary. According to my notes I just found, I purchased this in February of 2007 so it's approaching 6 years in my care.

It has spent most of its' time under a 250w Radium bulb using a M80 HQI ballast.

A LFS got a shipment of about 8 of them at the time.
