What a beautiful tank. Congratulations. Can you please provide some more details about your tank? What is the Acropora in the third picture from the top please?

Cheers

PS. You may need to ask the moderators on the UK forum to change the title of your tank thread. I will now need to read your UK thread to find out why you switched to Zeovit from Triton.;)

Hi, thanks for your comments. The coral in the 3rd pic is a strawberry shortcake. I've only had it for a couple of months, it's based out nicely but not really grown much, hopefully it will start to grow soon, fortunately it's maintained it's lovely colours.

The tank is approximately 700 litres and I run full Zeovit, if you read my tank thread on UR you'll see why I changed from Triton. The tank has really improved since the change, almost from day 1 I saw improvements.

Lighting is via an ATI Hybrid, skimmer is a BK Double Cone 200, and I use an MP40QD and a Maxspect Gyre for flow.

Very nice. How about pic of your sump and info on what all you dose. I am in the process of setting up a zeovit tank.

Hi,

The tank is plumbed through the wall to an outside sump shed as you can see here, this is from when it was first built.

This is when the sump was first installed, it's pretty much the same now except I have a lot more cables everywhere. It needs a good tidy up in all honesty.

The shed works really well though, I had a few condensation issues to start with but some ventilation sorted that out, the insulation means that it stays pretty cool in the summer and keeps fairly warm in the winter. I think I needed to have a fan turned on for only 1 week this summer when we hit 90 degrees for a few days.

As for Zeovit, my current dosing regimine is as follows

Zeostart .7ml twice per day
Zeobak 7 drops 3 x per week
Sponge power 7 drops 3 x per week
Coral Vitalizer 7 drops per day (only been using this for two weeks).
I use 1.8 litres of stones changed every six weeks and I use 150ml of Rox carbon changed every 3 weeks.

I think that's about it, let me know if you have any questions.

Tank looks awesome man, more pics needed:)

Happy new year.

In a tank of this size, I would get more than four anthias. In my opinion, you will get a much better visual impact with a larger shoal. I have eight resplendent anthias in my much smaller display tank. My eyes are always drawn onto them.

Yeah, you're probably right and I did have 5 but lost one after a couple of days. This is my first foray into Anthias so didn't want to go stretch myself with a large group, eventually I'll add more, once I'm comfortable with being able to take care of them and I'm happy my filtration can handle their feeding requirements.
