Hi guys, started this one on Feb.14, 2014 so not yet a year. Its doin' good, all corals started as 1" frags. Although many were transferred from my previous tank at 3-4" in size.

I gotta wait till my son gets back from skiing since I need his amber goggles to compensate for all the blue in the pics.
The tank runs 6~T5's (4 actinics and 2 blue+) I have them on 3 ballasts which turn off a few times per day giving the corals a break. The main lighting are 2~ MH 250's ( radium and Phoenix) lit only 5 hrs each side and not at the same time. Overall its a lot of light and a lot of possibilities. But the DIY canopy is never completely on.
Cad lights cone skimmer, remote DSB , 2 Kamoer 2-part dosers. No carbon, no GFO a 7% WC about each 2-3 weeks. Its Bare-bottom and my nutrients are always very low...too low actually.

Wow that DIY T5 setup is crazy. Can you provide some details on it, I was only able to add two T5 tubes and I think my tank has the same footprint as yours (i have a standard 90 gallon).

Yes as you can see, I angled the DIY reflectors to about 60° . It is the only way I could fit 3 tubes per side and not hide my MH's. I thought the top tubes might cause a shadow, but its fine. There is a reflective lip at the top of my reflector to catch the light from the top tubes and direct it back downward into the tank. TBH, its probably bright enough on its own to get decent results, but I like flexibility, and I'm fascinated by corals vs lighting.

I also used 36" instead of 48" staggered to save a bit of electricity.
