My 75g upgrade Build thread

so here is the thread for my 75g upgrade build. It is a glass rr 75g with all glass pine stand and canopy. It currently has 4x96w PC lights, 20g sump/fuge, Lifereef skimmer, Little Giant return pump,I use a CFL 26w/90w flood for the sump, 2 Koralia 3's for circulation. I will do a lighting upgrade either T5's or do a custom LED build. Also plan to recover the stand and canopy to make them match better in the room.

Jaw the sand wasn't too bad I cleaned it up friday and let it dry then put it in on sunday. I liked it better than what i had so I gave away the stuf I had.
Thanks Leif, but I have a big ball of it now that I keep trimming back, It's in the pod for now growing like mad.
I hope the cycle doesn't take too long I would like to get stuff in there.

Finally got through the big cycle well no amonia at lest so I transfered all the rock from the 30 so about 40lbs of rock in now and a few stragler crabs and snails, I'll get a pic up in a day or two. a bit of aquascapeing is needed first. and gotta clean up and sell the 30g.

Took longer than I thought to get pics but here is the 1st load of rock in and pretty much scaaped it out, I will be adding about 50lbs or so more from my Ap24 that has corals and such, that should happen this weekend.Also got a pair of small BTA's in there they are about 2 1/2" to 3" maybe when opened wide. So here it is.

Thanks, I have had that rock for a year or so in my old 30g i always wanted to lay it out like this, I also have another cave in the pile on the right side but the larger entrance is more towards the rear. I thought I would give fish and all a lot of places to hide and swim through, plus dive me some shaded areas if I ever need them. I'm gonna start transfering the reef from the pod tomorrow morning. Hope it goes easy.

Thats why we have to trade these are tough times i am trading at least 5 different zoos with dave and monica next week. Now i will have new stuff at no cost. If you have stuff to trade just post it somebody is always looking for something good luck.

Thanks it's coming along pretty well, I am starting to use the complete AquaVitro line of supplements, I got them off RC from Roamr great deal for all of them Thanks. I'll se how the tank does doing all one product line. Also got a few corals from KFennel this week,(Thanks Kevin) thay look good in here so far, I am not so pleased with my current lights but the corals don't seem to be too upset with them they will be better once I get some new lighting. Here are some pics,
the clowns, hosting a hairy mushroom the BTA's are too small for them but they finally sniff a little at the bigger of the 2 a bit.

Great pictures, everything looks happy, May i ask what you are dosing the tank with to keep alkalinity and calcium in place?

I just started using the Aqua Vitro line, the 8.4 and calcifacation should take care of that, I havent had to dose much so far as the tank is still relatively new, but if I need to I have Brightwell Reefcode A and B, and some seperate Kalkwasser I can mix up and dose.

oh i recommend you start testing every day now and find out the daily consumption, i stocked my 55 with a clam and didn't test and the clam sucked up everything i was dosing and everything started to die off until i tested and found out the exact dosing amount.
