is that a frogspawn touching the acan?

looks like my acan is eating the frog spawn. :D

and the point?

There's no point, thought it's a cool picture so I'd thought I'd share it. No need for any sarcasm around here. :rolleye1:

hands down the froggie will win. Not sure about you but I would not want to loose anhy acan lords, been there done that, got the t-shirt.

From what Im told you score a seam with the dremel or saw, then pry it off with a chisel or heavy duty flathead screwdriver. Am I J :D?

Am I J :D?

Nope, you don't want to be him, being a rockstar has its downside.

Nice pic.

Both of those corals are aggressive. If you want my take of this situation, the frogspawn sent out sweepers to sting the Acan. When they came in contact, the Acan fought back by swallowing the sweepers. The stomach of Acanthastrea contain mesinary filaments that are used for aggression. Normally, they expell them at night to attack nearby corals.
In this case, it swallowed the corals it wanted to attack.

Anyway, very cool pic. Thanks for sharing.

Great explaination about the fibers Randy :) I had one of my acans reach out at night and fully devore a Stardust micro colony :( I had it just too close I guess.

i had my acan in a nice place(what i thought was), and his mesinary filaments came out one night and totally melted(for lack of better word) a nearby mushroom, and then he did the same to another mushroom on the other side. I guess he is my tank landscaper, trimming the weeds around him
