my army of snails

Indermark

Anyone know what these snails are? The pictures are enlarged, the snails are about the size of a pencil tip. I have hundreds of these snails in my tank. When the lights are about to go out hundreds of these snails can be seen everywhere are are sorta an eyesore. I want to know if they are a pest or if they are reef safe.

Thanks,

Ryan

I am getting ready to go to bed now, If I have nightmares it will be your fault.

As with any snail population there density is food based related. Less food less snails. They will balance out in a few months. I recommend keeping an eye on intake strainers and filter cones that they don't get clogged.

I flushed the "Danza". I've been feeding less for about a couple of weeks now and there actually seems to be more snails now running around at night since i'm feeding less. Maybe more are out looking for food at night because they are hungry. Their shells appeared white until I shot the photo and zoomed in on the photo. thats when I noticed they have different patterns and such.

thanks,

Ryan
