My beautiful red LTA

Hi t4zalews,

Thanks for your advice regarding the clowns. I had a maroon quite a while back and she was a little tiger in the tank! Like you, I like pink skunks too. :) I was thinking about a pair of skunks and maybe a bangii (sp?) cardinal. The cardinals tend to stay a bit higher in the tank so I thought it would be ok with the nem. I also love firefish but it might get too close... I guess there is no guarantee with any fish though. Also, do you think a tail spot blennie would be ok? They are SO cute and fun to watch. I am also wondering if 4 fish in my 30g. would be too many. What do you think?

Forgot to add this: if I bought a pair of skunks, say within the next 4-6 weeks, do you think they would stress the bleached nem?

Thanks.

I would be surprised if the bleached anemone wasn't coloring up by that time period. Or at the very least, taking food.

I'd suggest making sure the anemone is taking food before you introduce clowns to the tank. Are we talking about the new red one? I tried reading previous posts and couldnt figure it out. I think you'd be fine with that fish selection.

Hi t4zalews,

Yes, I need to write this more clearly--sorry for the confusion. In the future I would like to get a pair of skunk clowns for the red lta. However, I'm worried that they may bother the bleached lta or even decide to live with it versus the red one. If they did that, I doubt the bleached nem would be able to handle them at this point in time and it would eventually die. Quite a while back I had a rbta and my clown killed it--the clown was rough and relentless with the rbta. So, I think it's probably better to hold off on getting clowns until I nurse the bleached one back to health and then find a really nice home for it.

The bleached lta is starting to have some tentacles that are tan so this is definitely a good sign!

I am going to find a home for the white/tan lta later on because my tank is way too small for two anemones plus my corals.

Did I explain this a little more clearly--I hope so :)
