Both nice shots but since you asked for critique, here goes.

Pic 1 is a tad underexposed but I like the slight off-center composition.
Pic 2 is also nice but has a lot of harsh shadows.

All in all, nice pics

Thank you opie! I think the reason I like pic 2 is because of the harsh shadows and the contrast...is that a personal preference or a general photography thing?
