My bigger clown fish is twitching.??

The "dance" is usually a good sign that they will end up pairing. It is much better than the dominant one beating up the submissive one. Once paired, the male will often do a happy dance every once in a while.

Yes the smaller clown should lie on the side twitching, like it is getting electrified. Same deal when a dog for example presents its belly to an Alfa dog in order to submit.

Sometimes I find, that the smaller one will nipple the larger one and sort off caress the larger clown. I have seen this with Maroons in particular.

But as mentioned it is a good sign, this means that they are negotiating who is the boss/dominant (female)

Good luck

OK... now dont get mad and ask how am I doing this....

I have 6 clowns in my 120 tank.

2 Cinnamon and 4 OC's

The 4 oc's were all the same size to start... NOW... the two girls have shown through and the guys are clearly visible. Funny how they have been doing the dance for a while.. I thought it was ICK at first....

The boys will go off and forage together, have a few runs around the tank.

I just got two anemones for them to try to play with. Not that they will pair to it or anything.

The two cinamon are deff paired too.

I am going to get some PVC pipe and let them make a home (place to lay some eggs) when I get back from vacation. I will either see them co-habitating better or they will be divorced... (hahaha)

I really dont know how long it will last... but If I need to go and get a marriage counselor for them I will. I just went though a divorce and I dont want them to draw a line in the tank (Your side / My side)

I dont necessarily want to breed them... but if I do I guess I can sell them to my LFS. I will have to get another tank (breeding one) if I expect that to happen though.

I am afraid that down the road you will be facing a problem with this many clowns. My guess would be, that the cinnamon's will kill of the others when they mature and grow.just my 5 cent.
