Hi all...

I have a pair of black occellaris at first... After a week i got another two... I put four of them together becos they are still juvenile and they are 'schooling' together without any bickering...

After a few days, i realise the female of my first pair started to hang out with one of the two i bought later..... And both are swimming together... ignoring the other two...

Then the other two cant seems to get along, the smaller one is always trying to bite the bigger one... Now the big fellow have some torn fin... Will they pair up eventually?

It seems now i have a pair and two individual clown...

Sigh... Hope the other two will pair up too...

Is there anyway to try to pair them up? My fren told me to let them settle it out themselves... Will adding a BTA help?

How big is your tank? IMHO I would not put more than a pair in a small tank. If the tank is big >100 gallons then it may work, but the clowns will bicker until there is a mated pair and then the two pairs will pick on the smaller ones and can do this till death. I've seen where one female maroon has had 2 males, but this hasnt been reported too often.

Hi... I am having them in a 50 gallon tank... I am putting them together for a short period... Cos my prop tank is not ready yet...
One pair is mean for display and one pair is mean for my prop tank for breeding...
Didnt know they would change mate... The pair is not aggressive to the other two... They just ignore them...
I am only having problem with the individual that are bickering non stop... Although today it lessen abit...
