My brain is improving!

I got this brain (I'm pretty sure it's a trachy) at the last NARC meeting from Greg. It was bleached signifcantly. It seems to be very happy in my 75g and it's starting to color up. I'll try to post more pics here in the future if it continutes to improve.

As a bonus pic, here's some of the fish crew in the 75g this morning.

Mariner that's a mighty nice looking brain you have there. ;) seriously though it is coloring up nicely! congrats.

Your brain looks like a Trachyphillia to me, too. It seems recovering nicely :)

I have what seems to be a Scolymia that resemble a red Trachy. I thought it was a small bleached Trachyphillia when I bought it, but it never developed lobes. It has turned red with a greenish white center and keeps on getting bigger, but it is staying flat like a pancake.

In the second picture, I see a fish that looks like a red cardinal (in the right side of the yellow Tang). Is it bright red in person, too?

Wow! What a difference a day makes. First time it's really inflated.

The flame cardinal looks deeper red in the pic than it does in person. It is still very red. I got it from CRA a few weeks ago. Cool fish.

Thank you, Mariner, for the anwer.

I thought that you may have gotten the one that John had. I don't have any Flame cardinal since they often look pinkish or drab red in LFS's. If they are bright red, I might give them a try.

I like small apogon type cardinals. I would like to get more orange stripe cardinals (apogon cyanosoma.) Both orange stripe cardinals and blue eye cardinals school nicely.
