Hi there
Im currently on holiday at the moment, but when i get back tomorow, the day after ill be buying my seahorses bigger tank
So, the seahorses old tank will be going spair. So, i can either transfer all the LR etc over to the old seahorse tank (wouldnt use the current LR in there as its infested with aiptasia, which is the main reason for me upgrading their tank). But, doing this my lovely aquascape will be ruined
My corals are doing great at the moment, with my Frogspawn colony growing at least one new head a week!
The current nano tank is 18"x12"x15" and the old seahorse tank is 24"x12"x15", so it isnt too big an upgrade, but it would mean id have more room for the corals etc.
The lighting on the tank atm is done by 2x24W PC's and an 18W PC...im getting a 24W unit when i get the new seahorse tank, so i will have 3x24W's and an 18W...giving me a total of 90Ws....which is approx 7.5WPG. This would be even better for my BTA etc.
IF i were to move all the inhabitants over to the 24" tank, and use this lighting, id have 6WPG...but if i were to do this, i'd get a 36W instead of running the 18W
So, what would you do....? Move all the inhabitants across, ruining your aquascape and possibly the the well being of your corals etc or keep them as they are.
I really want a RBTA, so ill get rid of my current BTA and buy a RBTA..this lighting would be ample for it, right?
When you switch tanks, how do the corals and that do? THey should be fine as i'll be using the same filtration, the same LR, sand and water that was in the previous tank
