I think you should flip it around so that the excurrent is down and the incurrent is up. Or do I have my holes crossed. (I don't know a lot about clams)
 
Clam is looking good. You could flip him around, but I've found that the clams will tend to position themselves if left alone. Being a minimalist, I would say leave alone unless you notice problems with the current orientation.
 
You should flip it because the "foot" that it attaches with is the side you have up - nice clam
 
Personally, if it is keeping that position and displaying full mantle like that, you've got a happy clam. I think "let happy clams lie" applies. If it doesn't like the position, it will become quite evident.
