My clown is acting werid

my clown is swimming on the surface with his head up and breathing what is going on my chromis is doing it too

Sounds like they're not getting enough oxygen. What are your tank parameters? Give a little bit on your tank history. How long have they been doing this? Any thing else you notice, like anything on the skin?

Thank you finally some 1 is not trying to diss me. my parameters 1.23 i got just got fish right now it been set up like 1 month and a half ago btw i just tested my water and my anomina is so high i did 50 percent water change my tank is soo mess up right now i cant even think stright

my clown is doing exactly the same, but the two other fish are just fine..

It sounds like you either didn't let the tank cycle fully, or added too much livestock too fast and didn't have enough bacteria to convert the ammonia. The water change should help for at least a while. I have never used it, but I have heard AmQuel can be used to get rid of the ammonia pretty fast.

The addition of an airstone with an air pump could be added to introduce more oxygen into the tank. Or if you angle a powerhead upwards in the tank to create some surface turbulence, that could help too.

yea thank i did a water change and now they breathing better thank b4 because the ammonia cost the lack of oxygen

I changed the position of the return outlet to generate some surface turbolence, doesnt seems to be helping

the thing with my tank is the amonnia is too high do u know how to bring it down. i also did a 50% water change yesteday

All my parameter were and are good. Today it seems like the fish is as happy as it can be, maybe it was just stressed by the new enviroment,cuase the other 2 fish i put in at the same time were doing just fine.

O ur fish came through i hope my fish does the same. it doing much better than yesterday

more flow always helps get a circulation pump like a nano stream or a seio and point it at the surface

For some reason when i turn off the lighting my clown is away near the heater
