My clown keeps getting a white spot under its chin itslike cotton

its happened to so many of the clowns iv bought ..... even happened to one of my clowns i had for many months and it was perfectly fine .....

this is wut it looks like and my only clown which was very playful has t his now

Iv been giving it fresh water dips.... but its just hiding behind a power head now....... it was never like this used to stay infront and always very playful ..... now it doesnt want to come out... i dont think its eating well either......
