So finally getting to set up my clownfish breeding system.

20g long drilled with 4 holes then divided in half to house 2 pairs per tank I have two so far so now 4 pairs is my max.

Blacked out the 3 sides

Picking up bulkheads, plumbing, and building the stand this weekend. Also placing an order for my rotifer equipment and feed.
I'm holding off on all the fry stuff because I don't know how long it will take for my pairs once I find all of them to settle in and start laying again.

Also anyone in so cal and have proven pairs for sale lmk I need at least 2 more.

Just a little advice. paint the bottoms of the tanks.

Mine are not painted and the pairs can see a reflection under the divider and they fight trying to get at each other.

Oh another thing. With 4 breeding pair you are going to need a few (lot) more tanks for fry LOL

Yeah I was thinking painting the bottoms white.
And I plan on have two 5 gal buckets of rotifers and fry tanks are easy to get and only 10 bucks at my LFS so I will pick them up once the pairs are settled in and I start seeing eggs

Nice to meet you Saturday Jacob. Looking good so far

Likewise. I got some updates. I had to use the tank I got from you as a sump because it's not the same dims. I'm going to try a dual fuge with return in the middle and add on to the sump later. I got both stand built and almost ready for water.
Some plumbing

Just saw a pair of clown fish spawn at a LFS and they were firm with not for sale. They told me not for 500! I told her id help her raise them though. So I'll practice while I get my system ready

What kind of clowns? Ask if u can place a tile and remove it when they lay on it. Then raise the larvae yourself and offer them a percentage of the offspring!

You are gonna want all of your LR in your sump so that they don't potentially pick that for a spawning location. Also remember that you need good flow over your LR so that your bacteria are able to work properly so add a powerhead to your sump to keep things flowing nicely!

Yeah all the live rock will be in the sump. In the tank I'm going to have a pot and a tile.
