A few weeks ago I had my female Onyx Percula jump into the overflow compartment. She's doing OK, hanging out and eating. I check on her every morning, and have tried getting her out through various means.
I figure the best thing to do is wait and try every few days to get her out as she doesn't look stressed in the back, and I'd rather not stress her out too much and cause problems.
It's real tough to get the fish out b/c the overflow has a very slim profile. My hand doesn't fit down there, and a net is very tough to get down.
Anyway, I've noticed that since the female is behind the overflow, the male clown kind of swims around the tank in circles (not crazy or fast, but still, doesn't act like a 'normal' clown would act'. I was lucky enough to capture the clown and put her back in the front, and immediately noticed them coming close together and acting like a pair (awww..lol)
But a few hours later the female jumped back in the overflow, and has been there ever since.
The main thing I'm concerned about now is that I'm not sure if the male clown will turn back into a female b/c the female is behind the overflow and therefore out of sight.
:spin2:
