My daughter wants a tank

So my wife and I are looking for a small-ish all in one tank. Please let me know what you have, the condition it is in, what it includes(lights, pumps, etc) and how much you want for it.

I am looking at a 6 gallon now, but I am thinking she will want something a little bigger too.

If your just looking for a little tank for a goldfish, tetras, or betta, then I suggest lookign at the little mermaid type tanks sold at petco/Petsmart. Easy, all in one, and under 40 bucks. Hard to beat for the price and function.

Any tank much under 30 gallons is a special difficulty to keep. An all-in-one is not bad, but most are about 24-29 gallons, and there is a reason for this. Tiny tanks---big difficulty, much harder than a 50-100 gallon. It's a scaling problem, among others, and what you can put in them is extremely limited.

Haha, Thanks Andy. I was about to call you. I was thinking more along the lines of a reef tank, she has a betta already. But she can't put her GSP frag in there, and man does she love that GSP, thinks it's the coolest thing ever.

Thanks for the advice. I am aware of the needs of small tanks.

I have a 10 gallon with a coralife light, nano koralia, and a heater. Just needs some sort of fuge/filter for the back. If your interested PM me.

Check with DMbillies to see if he still has the 24 nanocube/stand. She could do so much more with that than a 6 gal. I know you already know this, I'm just sayin'.

Thanks, Yeah she could. Not really looking to spend that much. It was a great deal, though, and if I hadn't spent all my money at the swap, I would get it in a heartbeat.. Looking for more in the 40-70 dollar range.

You can get a 6 gallon Fluval Edge all in 1 for 100.00 just google it. I still have the oceanic 33 gallon cube but it's just tank & stand. No lights or pumps.

I think one of those would be cool, but the only good lighting options for those seem to be DIY LED retros. Which I don't want to mess with. I know they had one at the critter with a few low light corals in it with the stock lights. But those won't support them for long, and they don't look that good either.
