Well its about time i share my tank , been running around 4 months now , the tank was in the house cycling before i even had the keys lol
Finally build my own home which gave me the freedom to get the tank i have been thinking about all my life .. it was not without its issues i had a 5ft tank that i sold all my SPS and corals from 6 months prior to the house construction and just kept my fish i wanted to start over with rock and coral and i was living in a mates lounge during both builds so i knew i would have the focus on my corals so moved them onto others in my area
When i was moving the 5ft to the new house i cracked it and my fish had to live in my sump for a few weeks whilst the cycle finished lucky at that time i only had 2 chromis , 1 sailfin and 1 yellow and blue tang.
I had the standard new tank blues with some cyano and brown algaes during the first 8 weeks .. i did a blackout and large water changes and that is under control now.
I did recieve alot of flak on our facebook australia group for the stand people were 50/50 on its hold strength but it hasnt moved in the time its been setup and the builder assures me its safe and i trust them.
I cant wait for everything to grow out and in about 5 months i will look to start on my SPS again
