My Duncan what happened?

I have had this duncan for about 5 weeks, he was always happy, doing good, was growing three new heads, and yesterday was very active. (See first picture) I feed him last night same stuff I have been feeding him, and woke up to this today. Anyone have an idea why this could be going on? He has long strands of white stuff out the top. Any help?

What fish are in your tank? Looks like it got an infection from something nipping at it. Duncans are prone to bacterial infections, I know I've lost my share of some very nice colonies. You need to do a dip in iodine or Revive. Iodine can be purchased at any drug store or drug isle at a grocery store. Here are the directions and good luck!

Do not waste any time do this ASAP today, not tomorrow~!

Thanks, I did see some brown algea on star that was right next to it. I have dipped both and heading to my LFS to get some Vit C. Thanks I hope it's not to late for him,
