My Equipment Room+Multiple Displays

once again... I really like your lifts and I look forward to trying the same on my next tank.

Solar panels aye? Can't just throw that out there without us expecting a picture.

Its funny to walk into the fish room eating a sandwich and knotice a coral has fell or broken, Then while still eating reach down push a button to lift the canopy then fix said coral with other free hand. Push the button again and put everything back.. haha so lazy

That is awesome...haha

Is it possible that you could re post your pictures, or, what would be much interesting, just put new pics in this thread? It would be so nice to see what people was making such a great comment onto! Thanks in advance! ;)

Wow back from the dead! Sure I can repost some of the old pictures. Infact they are still in my picturetrail account and I haven't moved them. I'm not sure why they stopped working. As far as new pictures go. I can but I have since replaced the 190 with a 300. I also built a new stand canopy and sump to go with it. If you want to check out what everything looks like now Here is a LINK to the thread.
Wow I posted a lot of pics. This might take a min :eek1:

Couple pictures of the ventilation system. I use 2 inline fantech fans connected to a thermosat. One is turned to exhaust the other intake. During the winter I use these to cool the room. In the summer I use them from time to time to bring fresh air in or just to exhaust a smell. Like when cleaning my skimmers lol

Just for kicks here is a couple of pics from the new thread with the 300 The stand looks pretty much the same cause me and My wife both liked the old one. So one of the guide lines was if I wanted a bigger tank the stand had to look the same. It is built a little different though. Again if you click the link in the post above you can see all the pictures.

8-ball
this is very impresive work u have done .
I love the bending of the wood to make the canopy
if you could, would u mind posting a diagram of how u used the actuators to lift the canopy.
I am planning a 220 gallon system and would love to do a similar lift system

thxs mark

Sorry I'm not much of a Diagram making person. I guess I can break out the Mac Paint, But that probably wont be much help. Here is a very rough drawing of how I used one actuator to lift from two points on the canopy. Keep in mind my Actuator doesn't sit vertical above the tank like that. The first to pulleys change the cable from vertical to horizontal Then the next to pulleys bring the two cables together. The cables are then connected together on the end of the actuator by bolting them to a piece of steel thats then bolted to the the actuator. Hope that makes since lol. Again I'm not a diagram person.
Behold Mac Paint skills
