My ER cs6-2 not making enough bubbles.

I got er cs6-2 with sedra 3500. I bought it used from fellow reefer and i did a test run today. The skimmer is not producing nearly enough bubbles as it should. I ran the skimmer in a tap water for an hour. My question is does it matter if the skimmer is running in salt or fresh water? How come its not making bubbles, the pump seems to be working. ITs only making big bubbles, can somebody please help.

yes- it needs to be in salt water

It just does.
Put it in salt and you will see.


Also, find a drill bit the same size as the air intake hole in the pump. You need to run it in there every couple months. They seem to calcify.
