Hi RC members Im upgrading from 105g (60LX18WX22.5H) TO 205G (72LX30WX22H) 3 side starphire dual corner overflows.

I have been on the hobby for about 5 years now and still loving it, there is nothing like having a piece of the ocean on your house and been able to enjoy it everyday.
I been sucessfull in having a stable and healthy system with a 10 percent weekly water change which keep my parameters steady

Tank..................205g 72X30X22
Sump ............. 75g rimless
Fuge..............30g tall
Skimmer........reef octopus 3000
Lighting........4 modules of AI SOL super blue
Pump.............2 Eheim 1262
Water movement.....1 mp40wes with battery back up..1 nanowavebox
Controller........Apex system

I build the stand but still have to finish it, missing trim and doors.

Old 105g system

Awesome build! I'm very impressed. Planning a new tank very similar with similar equipment. Love the aquascape, can't wait to see it full of corals and fish!

I'm planning my 300G build, and wondering about your stand. Did you use 2*4's for the end posts, or 4*4's? Also, did you double up on the 2*4's along the top? I'm gonna try to fit my 150G underneath as the sump, so won't be able to use a centre support and wonder if your research told you what you would need to do to eliminate this? Thanks, ANdrew

very good looking build, i envy your tank. I also cant wait to move into a tank with a larger sump area so that everything actually fits! good job

Hi Andrew for the end post I used 3....2x4s.... one supporting the inside, another supporting the two ends and the third supporting the front in the corner, Im not sure but someone told me the weight is on the corner so a center support mihgt now be need it, again Im not sure..

I really like your hanging light fixture. Any details on it?
Corey
It is very simple, the basic railing from the AI, 2 hooks on the ceiling with a chain aroung the railing..:spin1:
