My Fire Goby has a bruise

I've noticed what looks like a bruise just behind the Fire Goby's head. That area should be white but it has a maroon mark on it. Any ideas - I'm getting a bit worried about the poor guy. It eats fine and is behaving normally.

I have noticed he gets chased occasionally and shoots towards the top of the aquarium and I hear a thud. I'm not sure what he hits - most probably the light cover - it all happens so quick. And then it goes back to normal.

dont think fishes get bruises, cold be a color of maturity.

And by the way were do you buy your fish in sydney?

I get my fish from AquaMart in Castle Hill (Castle Towers).

The maroon mark isn't symmetrical so I thought it might be something bad. My brother recently lost a 7cm (2in) long black angel (he keeps tropical) and before death, I could see red in the body - and the colouring looked internal. So that's what got me worried about the Goby.
