Have you looked at the clam from the top down into the tank? I have one of those and the color difference is simply amazing.

Yes I have Mike. It has alot more green in it. I wish I knew how to take a pic top down. I just get a refection of the lights.

use some white paper to block the reflection

I'll give that a try when I get back home. Will there still be enough light for the pic? I hope the clam will open with the paper covering the light.

You could use a piece of acrylic and dip it in saltwater and when it dries it will make a good shield to acclimate to your new lighting.

hold the paper so that it blocks the reflection of the light to the camera not the light to the clam.look thru the camera when you are doing it and play around until the glare stop's.most of the pics on my WWW were done that way
