My first clam!

I want to show my new clam that I bought few days ago...

Very Nice. That`s a Maxima. It will like to be attached to a rock. Find a flat piece of rock a little larger than the clam and place it under the clam. Then don`t touch it for a couple of weeks and see if it will grab the rock. Then you can place it where you want. Then leave it alone. The less you mess with the clam the better it will do.

If you see the pic, behind it is a shell. She is attached to it and I'm scared to detach it.
Any recommendations?

Personally, I would not try to remove the shell, just place everything on a flat rock and the clam will do the rest.
