My first dealing with a nudibranch?

I have lost a few zoanthids lately, and wasn't sure why. While ago, I saw a small colony of zoas all closed up with this thing crawling across the top of them. I quickly grabbed him out of the tank, assuming that he is a pest. I dip all of my coral, so I am assuming he was in my live rock when I got it, and may have been in my tank all along. Anyone want him? I'll throw him in a baggie in the sump for now...... (I'm assuming this is a nudibranch, never seen one before...)

Yep that is a zoa eating nudibranch. Better check for more and eggs also. They are smaller than a pencil eraser and in a spiral shape similar to this"@". Eggs would be attached to the side of a zoa.

All I could find resembling any white dots were these two zoa clusters with a flashlight. See anything?

I can't see anything definitive from the pic. If you see anything that looks like eggs you will see individual dots "eggs" that make up the spiral. What I'm trying to say is you will see individual eggs and not an egg sack. When you are inspecting your zoas for more nudis look close! They will usually take on the color of the zoas they are eating.

Well, after the lights went out, I inspected the zoas. I found one zoa rock that had two more smaller nudibranches on it. I took it out and dipped it and removed them. Looked all over my zoas and didn't see anymore. There are probably more in the tank, but at least now I know what to look for. I didn't see any eggs. I don't have a lot of zoas so that's one good thing..... Boy, what a pest.

I will take those pesky zoas off your hands so you dont have to worry about them!!! Watch out for the more elusive NUBI SPS EATER....Haha
