My first fish order is coming, input and comment plz

Update, I found two dead fish yesterday morning, Clownfish and firefish :(. I checked my water parameter and it was normal. The rest are settling nicely tho. Most of them started eating except yellow clown goby and lawnmower blenny. Any tips on what to feed them?

Here is the result

Ammonia : 0
Nitrate : 0
Nitrite : 0
Salinit :1.025
Ph : 8.2
temp : 80

hotelbravo, I do agreed that I am over stocking, that why I picked mostly nano fish.

kenpau, thanks for input. That is exactly what I will be doing. In order to prevent ammonia spike, I will be doing 5 - 10 gallon water change every week. I also have ammonia alarm setup in the tank so, I can monitor it everyday.

What size were both clownfish when they arrived? As in head to tail in inches or cm is fine? If they were both on the 1.5-2" size and they started feeling cramped in that 10 gallon with 2 other inhabitants there could have been a fight.

The same can be said of the firefish. As somebody previously mentioned, firefish in a tank, more times then not tend to become singular.

Basically did you check both fish for signs of damage?

Worth noting Ammonia badges are pretty much a necessity for QT style tanks. They're cheap, get extras, you'll always have a need for more.

JayBall, I have a piece of nori tied onto a pvc but neither flame angle nor lawnmower touch it yet. Good thing flame angle is eating pellets. I guess lawnmower gonna starve for now :(.

Amoo, two of my clown fish are tiny, they are about .75 inch. I don't think firefish and clown fish died from aggression because they just took a long trip. I don't think they have energy to fight yet. Plus, most likely those fish were housed in the same tank.

Is it true that if I don't see any sign of ich or illness after 7 days, they are clean of external parasite? The reason I asked is, I am planning on medicating them with Praziquantel after a week and If they pass though that I am planning to put them into DT ( assuming they eat and no parasite in first week ).

Thanks again!
