My first hydra problem

I have been running the hydra52's for over three years now and had my first hardware issue. One of my units started to pulse at the start and end of my light schedule when the power was low. I thought the light was done for so picked up a used unit from a local reefer. Swapped out the light, but not the power supply and the new light was acting up just like the old one. On a hunch I pulled some slack on the power cord on the adjacent light and swapped power supplies. Guess what, the problem moved with the power supply. I put the new power supply on the new light and it worked fine. Put the new power supply on the "broken" light and it worked just fine.

I now have a spare light unit in need of a power supply. I really should have done a better job of troubleshooting before running off and spending money.

Moral of the story, if you have an LED unit and it acts up, check the power supply first.

Should be able to pick up a new PS on amazon,etc... for way less than a replacement from the company to get the other light up and running again if you want..

Just post a picture of the PS label if you need help..

Thanks for the offer. I may take you up on it. I have another light starting to act up. I checked it with the power supply from the adjacent light and the problem followed the power supply again.
