I was looking for a Fuzzy, and came home with this little guy. Two inches tops.
I just put him in so I didn't get very good pictures, so I'll update later.

lion looks great! i always have loved lions they look great in a fish only tank. what type is that? kinda hard to tell from the pic

sorry i missed that post, but i dont see a single problem with the inhabitants. i have heard of triggers picking on lions but i have kept them together with zero problems. how large is the tank?

I have to agree, I think the Lion is by far one of the best looking fish I've had one before, the only reason I got I sold him back to the LFS is because the other fish became the MENU!.....

Beautiful fish though.

He's downright adorable! Volitans are amazing, you'll love him.

Just keep in mind that puffers and triggers have been known to eat lionfish fins. I know theres quite a few people who keep lions with puffers and triggers with no probs. Just keep an eye on them, cause lionfish rarely fight back.

Be prepared to separate him and the trigger. There's a whole sticky just on how bad it usually is to have them as tankmates. Puffers are very individual and that could easily not be a problem, or not.

I have a 6" Proc Puffer and would like to get a lion to go with it, but I am concerned he will nip at the fins of the lion. I have a heniochus butterfly too and the puffer nips off the top fin any time it gets a little long.

Puffer also took a chunk out of the tail of a 6" red breasted wrasse while the wrasse slept. I think it was that the wrasse slept with his nose up in the corner of the tank. I put some moon lights there and the wrasse found a better spot so the tail does not stick out for the puffer.

So far he has zero interest in frozen foods, but tonight he ate at least one ghost shrimp, with plenty more in the tank for him.
